Goal of Dharma Practice
“In closing, please remember that there is no path to enlightenment that lies outside your own mind. Whatever good qualities there are to be cultivated must be cultivated within your own mind. Whatever negativities there are to be eliminated must also be eliminated within your own mind. In fact, the main objective of Dharma practice is to limitlessly develop the positive potential of your own mind. Your mind can be limitlessly developed because its mental continuum is beginningless and without end, and because you have buddha-nature. Because the delusions, which are the cause of suffering, do not exist in the nature of your mind, suffering can be extinguished by eliminating the ignorance that is at its root.”
